Piracicaba International Piano Concerto Competition

The Piracicaba International Piano Concerto Competition is a Tri-annual competition, created in 2017 to stimulate the pianistic and artistic development of students and pianists. It’s also used to stimulate the preparation of piano concertos for pianists ranging from five to thirty years of age. The competition is unique for its educational purposes:

  • all candidates will receive a comprehensive assessment from the judges with scores and constructive criticism

  • all levels from ages 5-30 will perform a concertino/concerto in the final round

  • candidates can choose from two versions of the competition: 100% online or in Piracicaba, Brazil.

The winners of the PIPCC receive solo with partner orchestras as well as certificates, trophies (specially designed by the sculptor Marcio Casarotti), and recitals in important Brazilian concert halls. There orchestras partners for the I PIPCC were: Orquestra Sinfônica de Ribeirão Preto, Orquestra Filarmônica Jovem de Piracicaba, Orquestra Sinfônica de Limeira, Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem de Limeira e Orquestra de Câmara da Escola de Música de Piracicaba.
