For more than three decades, I have worked with pianists of different ages, levels, and backgrounds—from beginning children and adult learners to college music majors, competition winners, piano teachers, and advanced performers.
A Personalized Approach to Piano Learning
My teaching is centered on helping each student become a confident, expressive, and independent musician. I bring together piano technique, healthy and coordinated movements, musical interpretation, music theory, sight-reading, technology, and individualized learning to help students develop a natural and meaningful relationship with the piano.
Drawing from extensive training in piano performance and pedagogy, the Taubman Approach and Keyboard Wellness, and principles informed by the Alexander Technique, I help students develop efficient and sustainable movement while connecting technique to sound and musical expression.
Every student is different. Whether working with a beginner, advanced pianist, adult learner, or aspiring professional, my goal is to provide each student with the tools, understanding, and confidence to find their own musical voice and express themselves through the piano.
