Dr. João Paulo Casarotti’s recording projects reflect his work as a solo pianist, collaborative artist, researcher, and advocate for Brazilian piano music. His recordings include releases available on major streaming platforms, digital recordings accompanying his editions of the piano works of Ernst Mahle, and the forthcoming Todo Nazareth project.


Deux Mélodies de Debussy

A collaborative recording with cellist Christine Mello featuring works by Claude Debussy arranged for cello and piano:

Ernst Mahle — SuperScore Recordings & Digital Editions

As part of his long-term research into the piano music of Brazilian composer Ernst Mahle, Casarotti has prepared recordings and digital editions of Mahle’s pedagogical piano works for SuperScore.

The collection includes:

  • Músicas da Cecília

  • Concertino (1974)

The SuperScore editions integrate the musical scores with MIDI performances by João Paulo Casarotti, interactive playback and practice features, pedagogical information, and materials designed to introduce performers and teachers to Mahle’s piano repertoire.

These publications form part of Casarotti’s broader research project dedicated to preserving, documenting, performing, and promoting Ernst Mahle’s contribution to Brazilian piano music and piano pedagogy.

Todo Nazareth

Todo Nazareth is João Paulo Casarotti’s new solo recording project devoted to the piano music of Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth (1863–1934).

Recorded at Glendale Community College in Arizona, the project represents Casarotti’s decades-long engagement with Brazilian piano repertoire and explores the distinctive rhythmic, stylistic, and expressive language of one of Brazil’s most important composers for the piano.
